Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DS Group ("DS Group", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our FSSAI registration and compliance services through our website and client portal.

1. Information we collect

To process your FSSAI application, we collect:

  • Identity & contact: name, email, mobile number, business name, business address, business email and business mobile.
  • Statutory documents (PDFs): Aadhaar card, PAN card, applicant photograph and other supporting documents you upload.
  • Payment data: Razorpay transaction reference IDs (we do not store full card numbers or banking credentials — these are handled directly by Razorpay).
  • Account credentials: hashed passwords (bcrypt), session tokens for authentication.
  • Operational logs: IP address, timestamps, and an audit trail of actions taken on your order.

2. How we use your information

  • To prepare and file your FSSAI Basic / State / Central licence application with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
  • To communicate order status, request additional documents, and deliver the FSSAI receipt, ARN and certificate.
  • To issue GST-compliant tax invoices for the services rendered.
  • To prevent fraud, debug technical issues, and comply with applicable Indian laws.

3. Document storage & security

Uploaded PDFs (Aadhaar, PAN, photograph, certificates, receipts) are stored on encrypted cloud object storage with strict access controls. Only the assigned case manager, authorised reviewers and you (the order owner) can access them. All in-transit data is secured with HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text.

4. Sharing with third parties

We share information only as strictly necessary to deliver the service:

  • FSSAI / FoSCoS portal: your statutory documents and business details are filed with the authority on your behalf.
  • Razorpay: processes payments under their own RBI-regulated terms.
  • Statutory disclosure: when required by Indian law, court order, or to prevent fraud.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

5. Data retention

We retain your order data and uploaded documents for the duration of your licence plus a further 7 (seven) years to comply with statutory record-keeping requirements under the FSS Act, 2006 and the Income Tax Act, 1961. After this period, data is securely deleted unless retention is mandated by law.

6. Your rights

Under applicable Indian data-protection law, you may:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request deletion subject to statutory retention duties;
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential processing.

Email support@dsgroup.in to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies & tracking

We use only an essential httpOnly authentication cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics that profile you.

8. Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
